Can I Eat Eggs With High Cholesterol?

Eggs: Yes, but in moderation.

Eggs are a good source of quality protein and contain important vitamins such as A and B nutrients, vitamins D and E, and various minerals, making them a complete nutritional supplement. However, egg yolks are high in fat and should be consumed in moderation and with caution when added to the diet.

If you can’t imagine life without egg yolks, you can eat an egg a day, two or three times a week. The best way to eat egg yolks is to use light cooking methods, such as scrambled eggs with a little oil, fried eggs with a little oil, hard-boiled eggs, or hard-boiled eggs.

How Many Eggs Should I Eat A Day?

Some people can’t imagine breakfast without eggs, and cutting them out of your diet can be costly. But if you have high cholesterol, your goal is to lower it as soon as possible, and if you don’t want to give up eggs, you need to learn to eat them wisely. There are a few things to consider here.

  • If you eat only one egg a day, you can’t eat tortillas, cakes, or desserts that contain multiple eggs, or desserts that contain these ingredients.
  • To eat an egg a day, you’ll need to compensate by adjusting your intake of other foods high in saturated fat: Forget dairy products (at least those with a high-fat content), sausages, junk food, and small amounts of red meat.
  • Don’t eat fried food too often. It may be harmful to your health. Choose the lighter preparations mentioned above.
  • Always eat less. Eggs must be eaten in small quantities, i.e., one unit a few times a week.

Health experts say it’s important to be careful with fatty foods and not to overdo it, which is why we must eliminate them from our diets. Here are some of them:

  • All kinds of pancakes.
  • Cookies and candy.
  • Sausages, especially those that are high in saturated fat, such as salami, sausages, etc.
  • Junk food: pizza, burgers, fries, etc.
  • The viscera
  • Seafood and fatty meats.
